Sealed Services

The BMBF project "Sealed Services - Infrastructure for the realisation of industrial services in value networks in the context of digital integrity and sovereignty" was launched on 1 May 2020.

Sealed Services

The project creates an ecosystem to support SMEs in the co-production of industrial services. Data-based and physical (“on-site”) services are specifically linked with the help of a distributed ledger technology (DLT)-supported infrastructure - under conditions of an integral, sovereign and secure data exchange.

The focus is on industrial, maintenance-related services and digital life cycle records for machines and systems. The project forms a strategic synergy with the International Data Spaces (IDS) and GAIA-X initiatives and is part of the German government’s blockchain strategy.

The joint project is funded by the Federal Ministry of Education and Research as part of the “Innovations for the production, services and work of tomorrow” programme and is supervised by the Project Management Agency Karlsruhe (PTKA).

Funding reference: 02K18D130 | Project duration: 01.05.2020 - 30.04.2023

The project will run from 1 May 2020 to 30 April 2023 and is funded by the BMBF with 3.1 million euros.

The consortium leader is the Chair of Corporate Logistics LFO at TU Dortmund University, which is supported by the Fraunhofer Institute for Material Flow and Logistics IML in project management. The Fraunhofer Institute for Software and Systems Engineering ISST complements the consortium as an additional research partner. Development partners are Hahn Projects GmbH and Orgatech GmbH. Industrial partners are Wagner GmbH, Weldotherm WTD GmbH and Weldotherm Gesellschaft für Wärmetechnik mbH.
