FVI expert breakfast episode 007, this time with part 2 of LLMs in maintenance, resolution of the UseCase competition, the jury members and maintenance experts Prof. Dr. Lennart Brumby and Bernhard Heindl and of course again with Jens and Marcel!

This week we would like to show you what else is possible with Large Language Models in maintenance.

In addition to the opportunities that arise from sustainable maintenance, we also want to discuss solutions and challenges relating to production and maintenance with you. Of course, as always, our two-week series of events will provide exciting insights into the future of production and maintenance. 🏭

We will discuss how sustainable companies can master the challenges of the modern production landscape. The focus will be on topics such as demographic change, digitalization and the importance of production partnerships.

Summary

  • Introduction of the FVI experts and topics: The session included presentations and discussions on generative AI and its application in maintenance. Three prizes were offered for the best proposals.
  • Presentation of the proposals:
    • Tobias Oehler: Proposal on improving data quality in SAP through generative AI.
    • Peter Mühl: Proposal to create an interactive knowledge base for technicians by analyzing maintenance logs and instructions.
    • Theresa Löffler: Proposal to support troubleshooting by combining machine data and historical data. 22:40 Discussions and feedback: The proposals were evaluated and commented on by experts such as Marcel and Lennart. The technical feasibility and potential benefits of the proposals were discussed.
  • Presentations and general meeting: The proposals were followed by presentations by Markus and Professor Dr. Steinhübel on data engineering and asset performance.
  • Project presentation “MODE4Sustainability”: Wim from BEMAS presented the project, which aims to improve sustainability in maintenance.
  • Conclusion and invitation to the general meeting:
  • The session ended with an invitation to the members’ meeting and a reference to the next event in Stuttgart.
