Hybrid Search
A search technology that combines classic keyword search with semantic vector search to understand the context of a query.
Classic searches only find exact matches (e.g., "cylinder" must be spelled exactly like that). Hybrid search understands meaning: it knows that "drive", "engine", and "unit" can mean the same thing in the context of the system.
Technicians often search imprecisely ("That red thing over there"). Thanks to Hybrid Search, ADAM finds the correct replacement part or document, even if the input is colloquial or contains typos. This drastically eliminates search times.
